Nest are an independent designer furniture boutique that sells beautiful, iconic, authentic and future-proof furniture; sourced from highly sought-after brands such as Arper, Cassina, Flos, Muuto and Vitra.
THE CHALLENGE
Nest’s USP is that - unlike other much larger designer furniture retailers - they fully understand that customers don’t just want furniture, they want beauty they can sit on, sculptures they can eat at and investments they can relax on. Our task was to refresh the brand to reflect Nest’s genuine love of what they sell and to reinforce the brand as a destination for design, celebration of creativity and source of a passionate and highly knowledgeable personal service.
THE SOLUTION
We approached the new logo design just like it was a bespoke piece of furniture – it had to be carefully balanced, distinctive and crafted. The logo also featured a unique bird motif that tied in both with the brand name and the minimalist style of Nest’s products. The ‘little bird’ also has a life beyond the logo: from a stamp of legitimacy to a graphic icon that adds real character to communications. A similar, considered graphic style was also developed and applied to print collateral – including a brand book – as well as digital platforms.
